Happy Halloween! October New Releases Posted

Posted on 31 October 21:10 (over 11 years ago)

Yikes!  While we here in Pittsburgh emerged unscathed by the elemental forces unleashed by "Superstorm" Sandy, this has been quite a week for millions of others on the east coast.  We hope anyone receiving this who was affected is hanging in there, and will find some small consolation from what it contains and the implicit message that life goes on.  We recommend to anyone who would like to help those in need of aid as a result of the storm to make this page their first stop:  http://www1.networkforgood.org/hurricanesandy

We've been doing a bit of fixing up here on the third floor of 3138 Dobson and have finally managed to reach (our admittedly minor) goal of organizing and opening up our rear hallway to customers, and so hereby announce the less-than-grand opening of "Book Alley"  where you can now find a nice and (mostly) organized selection of attractively priced fiction, poetry, history, science and nature writing, biography, memoir, epistolary and essay collections, books of art, photography and art history and plenty more – along with our relocated – and expanded! – Comics Sale Shelf.  So make sure to turn right and head back next time you find yourself up at Copacetic.

But we need to clear even more room in order to get the shop ready for the holidays, so, yes, we are having a clearance sale.  It's The Return of BOGO:  from now until Sunday, November 11(unless it's all gone before then!) every purchase from any and all boxes on the tabletops in Copacetic's "Back Issue Corner" will entitle the purchaser to an item or items of equal value from these tables, FREE!  The comics on sale here are already massively discounted – especially the sets – so this is a chance to pick up a lot of comics on the (very) cheap.

And then, of course, there's this month's new arrivals (admit it, you were beginning to wonder if we'd ever get around to them).  You will count some of the year's most anticipated releases among them. So, without further ado... here's the latest!

You can check them out here, or go old school and read all the reviews on a single page, here.
