Bill Griffith fans will want to know that, in addition to his being a special guest of PIX 2016, he will also be doing a presentation at The ToonSeum the night before, starting at 7pm at Bricolage, a few doors down from The ToonSeum:  45 Years of Zippy the Pinhead: An Evening with Bill Griffith.

AND, running form 7pm to 11pm at Lili Cafe (downstairs from The Copacetic Comics Co.) it's The Pre-PIX Comix Reading Extravaganza! Here's a chance to get a jump start on the PIX 2016 festivities! 

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1) The Copacetic Internet Sales Fulfillment Department will be CLOSED from Monday 21 March through Monday 28 March.  Thus, any internet order placed between 4:00pm Sunday 20 March and 5:00pm Monday 28 March will not be processed unitl Tuesday 29 March.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

2) The shop proper will be CLOSED  from (Good) Friday 25 March through (Easter) Sunday 27 March.

3) The shop proper will also be CLOSED for PIX on Saturday 2 April.  Copacetic will, of course, be at the show, so we hope to see you there!

Will Eisner's Armed Services Work

The ToonSeum will have a presentation of Will Eisner's work on P*S with the U.S. Army. Then will will show the biographical DVD, Will Eisner: Portrait of a Sequential Artist

Presenters: Comic Historians and Lecturers Bill Boichel (The Copacetic Comics Company) and Warren Bernard (Author and Executive Director of the Small Press Expo (SPX).

Program: Will Eisner is justly celebrated as one of the founders of both the comic book – during the 1930s and '40s – and graphic novel – during the 1970s and ‘80s – but few are aware that he spent the two decades in-between working for the US Army putting together P*S: The Preventative Maintenance Monthly magazine. Tonight’s talk with explore this important but little known period of Eisner’s career.
