N (2017) and its companion, M (2015?), are the works that more or less lead directly into Andrew White's Yearly series which began in 2018 and continues through the present. Each is a 48-page, full color, 8 1/2" x 10" collection of personal, experimental comics that show him beginning in earnest his search for new ways to express himself through and in comics that has continued unabated since.
The bulk of the comics here in N eschew black line all together (with the exception of some of the lettering, which even then is the black of a colored pencil, rather than the ink black of a pen), with only a white gutter separating the panels, which are spatially defined solely by the color field (imprimatura) upon hich the drawings are then laid.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Much of the work this issue contains has been adapted for / is included in Yearly 2026.
