There are very few artists in American popular music who can match the enduring popularity the Glenn Miller band has enjoyed; more than fifty years after the death of it's leader. Glenn Miller's appeal can only be matched by such artists as Buddy Holly, Jim Reeves or Elvis Presley, whose popularity still has to prove the same durability since they all died at a much later date.
