Segar Whew!  It made it in time for the holidays.  The next volume in what is sure to be the definitive edition of the collected Popeye is here.  It features the same swellegant, oversize die-cut hardcover format as the first volume; it contains close to two years of E.C. Segar masterworks -- 84 full color, nearly full size Sundays and 450+ black & white dailies along with an illustrated introduction, "Real People, Real Theatre" by Popeye expert, Donald Phelps and a brief forward by Mort Walker; and it's great.  "Well, blow me down," indeed.
